the weight of expectation: data visualization

This data visualization project explores how cultural expectations and gender bias manifest as emotional and physical labor placed on women in leadership. Quantitative data is paired with metaphorical imagery and editorial layout to translate statistics into a human-centered narrative. Through typographic hierarchy, color systems, and anatomical symbolism, the project reframes leadership data as lived experience rather than abstract numbers.
