The Internet Didn’t Kill Style is a collaborative editorial magazine project exploring how fashion operates as a form of identity, emotion, and self-expression in the digital age. This magazine was created in partnership with another designer, with the goal of producing a cohesive publication that could be professionally printed. My partner and I split the magazine evenly, working closely to maintain a unified visual system across all spreads.
To achieve consistency, we shared the same typographic hierarchy, color palette, textures, grid structure, and visual language throughout the publication. My individual spreads focus on Billie Eilish as a case study, examining how her evolving style challenges expectations around femininity, visibility, and authenticity. Through layered typography, bold color choices, and collage-inspired layouts influenced by Y2K aesthetics, the design frames fashion as a fluid and personal narrative rather than a fixed aesthetic.
The project emphasized collaboration, editorial pacing, and production-ready design, requiring careful attention to layout continuity, bleed, margins, and print considerations. The final outcome was a cohesive magazine designed with professional printing standards in mind, demonstrating both conceptual strength and technical execution.
